Male Tag Response

10 Years Ago:
We just finished winning the Sisters tournament and beating Lebanon for the 8th grade league championship. I was watching the dreaded Kentucky Wildcats play Andre Miller's Ute's. For some reason I was actually cheering for Utah back then, mainly due to the Grandpa George Wilson rubb off factor. I remember Utah being big underdogs and handing the game to Scott Padgett's Wildcats. I viewed the game at Brandon Johnson's house with a bunch of my friends, eating some spicy buffalo wings. I had just turned 14 years old and was just finishing up my glory days run. You know where the fact that I was half the size of my friends didn't matter yet, and I was still a good player (the streak that ended in H.S.). In 1998 I went to Washington D.C., mowed the Ayers lawn for $8 and still was trucking along with the Newspaper route. Ask anyone in that neighborhood, and they will tell you still to this day, I was the best paper boy SE Albany has ever seen. (Large thanks to all my assistance).

5 things on my To-Do list for today:
1. Prepare joint Priesthood/RS 5th sunday lesson on Tithing.
2. Figure out what Whit and I are doing in 10 days when the semester ends.
3. Study for my marketing test
4. Cheer on Xavier and Louisville to knock off the number ones.
5. Attend team pizza party at Craigo's to celebrate a great season cut short by stripes (similar to Lesley's Le Grande experience)
6. Bonus, refuse to go to Utah until Les/Trev tell us what the surprise is!!!

What would I do if I were suddenly a Billionaire:
Similar to Les I would drop some change off to both BYU and OSU, mainly for their basketball programs to improve. I would buy a nice house up on the hill in Rexburg overlooking the temple and figure out a way to remain a student the rest of my life so I can play in the "competitive" sports league (basketball, tennis, and flag football) for the rest of my life. It truly is the greatest thing ever! I would hook up my family with sweet birthday/Christmas presents every year. Buy toys (4 wheelers, snowmobiles, etc) and a house in Mesa that we could live for the winter half of the year. Of course invest some, but the other 90% would be in Whit's hands and she would just take over. Lastly, of course I would tell Paul Allen to scoot over because I would buy him out and own the Blazers, practicing with them frequently, no P.T. required.

Places I have lived:

Albany, Oregon
Rexburg, Idaho
Provo, Utah
Toronto, Canada (all over)
Columbia, S. Carolina
Santa Clarita, Cali

Things most people don't know about me:
Since high school I have never not had a job. I finished in 4th place in my English 311 class last semester, and if you know my spelling and grammer, you will know what this is so surprising. In my college career I have played in 28 different intramural leagues/seasons and only have 2 championships out of those 28 teams. I can never beat Whit in Balderdash. Isaac has never beat me in singles, but this summer he should have plenty of chances! And I once shot a 79 at the Golf Club of Oregon with Driod.

I know tag all males everywhere! Man up, I am calling you at! Specifically my brother in laws, but again all males everywhere!

Chapman Boys head West

Last week we had two special visitors, Ryan and Derek. Oh, what a treat it was, here was some of our happenings.
Part One:

Whit giving her famous tour of the school and of "I-News." The school really should be paying her for the fine recruiting job she does.

Whit anchoring with special co-host Derek. Don't they look so natural.

Ahman Chabra, our own legendary sports anchor. Just around the corner from being ESPN famous, watch out Mike and Tony he is coming for your spot on P.T.I.

The tour continues, on a beautiful Rexburg day.

"Hi Mom."

Part Two:
Monday Night Basketball. Just about as intense as you can get. This b-ball is more physical then Joey Dorsey vs Tyler Hansborough. As the older generation would say, we had some real hot heads on our hands. Maybe that will help you understand the vision. And man did we have some real pieces of work, which caused a few altercations. Nonetheless, we represented well for family, kept in clean, and most importantly, ran the court for 1 hour+. Our team consisted of Ryan, Derek, Ev, Nate (my Canadian baller friend), and our newly acquainted Mexican friend, Alfredo (like the chicken).

Due to the slighly low rims, Derek and Ev both dunked during the game. This is Derek.

Ev dunking, yes two handed baby!

Whit did a fabulous job of catching the "altercation" with the camera. You know you are a great and dedicated photographer when you don't even miss things like this.

Part Three:
Tuesday brought a fabulous day of snowmobiling in one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. of A., yeah even, Montana. We went to West Yellowstone and actually went from Idaho into Montana and back again. Wildlife, scenery, speed, and a screaming wife gripping my stomach ever so tightly!!!

Whit.
Ryan.
Us four. (Evan & Derek, and Whit & Ryan)

Ev and Whit.
The 3 amigo's, "visors down"
Ryan and Derek cruising along the river.

Part Four:

Bowling/date for Ryan. Watching out for a fellow RM, we wanted to get him rolling. SO we hooked him up with Brianna, thanks for some help from Coach Hessing, as seen below. It was a great time, but I didn't have much competition. I bowled 158 and 174 respectively.

Ryan.

Coach Travis Hessing (Coach of the year leading the Freeze to a 6-2 record)Sorry Natalie is not shown here the pic's we got of the two of them just weren't working, she is a big part of making Travis coach of the year, FYI.

Brianna, Ryan's date, very nice. (2nd place bowler)

Ev celebration dance.

Whit focused.

A great few days and what better reason to skip class than family. We are currently welcoming any others that think they can handle this much fun. Hurry rooms are filling fast!

Tagged

Sorry it took me 2 tags to do this. Better late than never, right?

As an almost 11 year old, like Mere, I was in fifth grade. Yep, Big Woman On Campus. I remember studying the Gold Rush and the Oregon Trail. I loved reading Dear Mr. Henshaw as well as Where the Red Fern Grows (what a sad book/movie for fifth graders!). I was probably sporting Lisa Frank school supplies and Vans shoes. What a great combo. We moved the next year from California to Missouri. I was also on the spirit squad through the city parks and recreation, so practicing my routines was a daily event!

5 things on my to-do list today

1. Finish my 10 page research paper about Temples. Yes, it is now 11:09pm, the paper is due at 7:45am and I only have half done. Shows how dedicated to blogging I am (or how easily distracted I am)!
2. Plan out my news package about after school programs that I have to film tomorrow.
3. Get ready for bed
4. Probably eat some junk right before hopping into bed
5. Go to sleep

What I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire
I would buy a couple houses. Go on a sweet vacation with my family. Buy Ev the Blazers. Buy a huge/more comfy bed (can you tell I'm getting sleepy?). Go to the dentist (we haven't been for a long time). Forget about stressing about our future and play!

Places I've lived
Various cities in Southern California
Gresham, OR
Joplin, MO
Willow Springs, MO
Rexburg, ID
Columbia, SC
Santa Clarita, CA

Things most people don't know about me
I am currently in first place in the family March Madness pool... oh wait, I have bragged about that so much I think everyone knows already! I want to be the younger version of Barbra Walters. I drool. I'm blind as a bat without my contacts/glasses. I'm not very sensitive considering I am a girl. I am currently taking 21 credits and working. And as much fun as this semester is, I can't wait for it to be over! 2.5 weeks!

I now tag *Is this a girl only thing? If so, sorry but I have to: Ev, Steve, Trevor and Brandon. I am just curious to their answers.

Ryan and I have created a new blog. It's still young and early, but just wanted to let you know. This truly is the best time of year for a sports fan!

One Year Older and Wiser Too!

Ev celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday! It was a great day. Here are some photos from the wonderful day of March 15th.

Sleeping... probably the one day out of the year I will wake up before Ev!

The big 24! "24 is the age where you are officially not young anymore." -Ev

Ev getting numerous calls and texts. What a popular guy!

What better way to kick off a birthday than a few Office episodes while in bed?

His breakfast. I know it's nothing special, but since Ev is the breakfast cook in our family, it was a big deal.

We then had a bit of a photo shoot.

So the cake was supposed to be a lot cooler. I saw on line that you can make a 3D, sphere (basketball) cake. But, I ran out of time and would not be able to have a backup plan if it went bad. Maybe next year...

Playing a little 'Put the Ball in Ev's hands' (our mature version of 'Pin the Tail on the Donkey').

Game all about Ev. One question was: Who is Ev's favorite all-time basketball player? a) Brandon Roy b) Clyde Drexler c) Jerome Kersey d) Rasheed Wallace *Post you answer under the comments*

Ev also enjoyed taking some photos around Rexburg. This is one of his masterpieces.

From his killer ice skating skills, to his fashionable ties- Ev truly is a dream come true! I sure have loved the almost 2 years of being married to him! It is so fun to have my best friend with me forever. He is not only so funny but is one of the most genuinely nicest person I know. So, Ev happy 24th! I love you!

A Weekend Like None Other

Last Thursday morning Whit and I woke up at about 4am to catch a flight to Mizzou. For the breathtaking return of Elder Ryan Chapman. We were greeted by the Chapman crew shortly before Ryan's plane landed in the Springfield Airport.

Overall it was a great trip, and it is great to have Ryan back. Some of you have heard of the neat experiences that have been had in the "Show Me State" but this time we wanted to convey a more real sense of what it is like. Hence the video.

Highlights from the weekend were:
Ryan taking his time and using the restroom before coming to greet the family,
the crescent rolls at Cheddars,
Richard being a fantastic behind the wheel for a plethora of hours in the car,
beating Richard in a game of horse with a soccer ball in a carpeted church gym,
playing the "Where are we going to live game" with Kailey,
playing that weird game - Settlers I believe it was called,
watching Bro. Johnson play cards (and cheat),
Nate-dawg,
Richard trying to control the temperature of the car full of 2 teenagers, 4 girls and a RM,
watching Alissa school the boys on the bball court,
seeing Derek dunk like a monkey,
listening to the KFC guys Priesthood lesson,
the baptism and new convert testimony,
snoring,
Denver airport checking the Winn blog,
and much much more.

Hope you enjoy the video, be sure and leave a comment.

We Need a Wedding!

As I was spending my Sunday morning reviewing old video clips, partially inspired by Trevor's newest post. I thought, you know unless I am not getting the family newsletter, there isn't any family weddings planned for this summer. That is boring. So I was hoping maybe this would help inspire a wedding, leave you wanting a little more...
