Universal Studios

Here are a few pics from the day at Universal Studios. I'll be honest, I am pretty much terrified of roller coasters, but I was courageous, stood in the long lines all the while pondering about what was about to take place while flashbacks of my life went through my head, then I rode with pride! (Okay, the picture shows what 'pride' I am talking about...)I closed my eyes and screamed the whole time. Wimp, I know.


I also have this obsession with Land Before Time. I watched it ALL the time back in the day, and still own a copy of it.


This was finally the year Ev made the height requirements and was able to ride the 'big dog rides'

Pictures just don't do justice during this Earthquake reenactment. Yet another one of my fears (did I mention there was a 4.5 earthquake while in CA this summer... that was a LONG night!). Basically I did not enjoy this 'ride' all that much. This is where the video footage would come in handy.

Bloggin'... so far, so good

I must say I am pretty pleased with myself for being somewhat consistent with this whole blog thing. I am actually starting to enjoy it.

Ev and I have 3 weeks left here in California and let's just say we are SO ready to get back to school. It has been a good summer though- a learning experience in many ways, for sure.


So we traded cars with this guy straight up at the wedding. He got a great deal...

miscellaneous cousin wedding pics

Photographers wild shoes...me calling my mom throughout the whole day with updates...some random big hair lady...the favors/table assignments. Instead of table numbers, they had names of destinations important to them...and the beautiful cake.

It was great to see family I don't get to see very often. The man in the fly suit is my Great Uncle Harold. The last pic is of my cousin after she wrestled with a girl for the bouquet. It was hilarious!

Dawnielle & Tommy Wedding

The last wedding we would be attending this summer was this weekend (my cousin, Dawnielle). A very beautiful wedding and Bride! We were a little nervous about the vegan food, however...

Ev's hidden talent...

So I ripped my skirt a little before we were supposed to leave for the wedding which could have been bad news. However, I have the best husband who offered to sew it back up for me. I had no idea he would do that so voluntarily, let alone do a GREAT job! What a proud wife I am (thanks Pammy for teaching him!)

The Purple Palace...

I am not sure if Ev was prepared for the obsession my aunt has with the color purple... I mean, lavender. If you aren't sure what the difference is, just ask Ev. He now knows.

Moorhead Family Gathering...

We were able to visit with the Moorhead family and celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Mike and Mary with them. Ev was a little jealous of the red wagon they were playing with, "Back in my day, we didn't have that good of wagons to play with..." Ev also wrote a poem in honor of the 30 year anniversay.
