18 November 2006

The Beavs did it again. They are now 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the PAC-10. Currently in third place and after they beat the ducks next week (who lost to Arizona today) they have a great shot at getting into the Sun Bowl.

In other news:
Whit has taken over as the competitive one in this family. She refuses to loose and will do anything for the win. I dare say, she is reaching the sports die hard level I am at.

Weekly we go bowling as a part of our after school job with the elementary school. Every week I tempt the kids with a treat if they can beat the cowboy himself (me of course) and this week was a real blow out for me. I bowled a personal best 203. Which included six strikes on my last 7 turns.

By the way now I am a real cowboy, I beat 40 guys in a clay pigoen shot out, and as the champion I won a new 12 gage shot gun. (Nothing fancy, but still that is way sweet). Just to make my victory sound a little sweeter, lets just say I was sporting a nike sweat shirt, while my competition was in Carhart jackets, wranglers, cowboy boots, and of course they all rolled up in their mud covered trucks. City boy no more!

BEAVERS 33 TROJANS 31

BEAVERS 33, TROJANS 31. Well, just as I said a week ago, The Beavers upset number 3, the USC Trojans. I may have been the only person in America, with that prediction, but just goes to show Evan knows best. Its days like these that all your real life troubles go away, and you feel like as smart as Bill Gates with the body of Terrell Owens. Its days like these that I really think I should work for ESPN. Its days like these that the Taurus runs a little smoother. Its days like these I am very glad I have a Beaver blanket, welcome mat, football, wall hangings, t-shirts, hats, and most importantly an adopted Beaver fan with Beaver socks, Whitney herself. Just like to apologize to duck fans (Jeff & Steve Doug, Steve & Steph Terj, Droid & Darce, Brandon Johnson, and many more) and Trojan fans (Richard and all other band wagon riders). Not too much will upset me this weekend. Please click here for beauty: http://www.joshellison.com/beavers/Oregon_State__OSU_Fight_Song_ver2.mp3

Beavs Win, Ducks Lose

Been a while since this happened so I had to be sure and post it. The Ducks (5-2) lose to Washington State and the Beavers (4-3) beat Arizona who the Cougars had a heart breaking loss to early in the season. Next Saturday the Beavs will knock off #3 USC at 1:30 MST to end their hopes of a national title. In the photo's Bernard ran all over the Wildcats, and the Duck photo is Leaf trying to through a pass to Kent (Son of Ernie Kent, UO Men's BBall coach, by the way I blocked his shot, in a 2001 Churchill/S. Albany bball game) maybe thats why the ducks dropped this one, Kent just can't get Carlile's huge swat out of his mind.
