Sports can sure be interesting

There has just been a few too many weird things lately to not blog about them. In regards to the sports world.

1. Oregon State finishes the football season ranked 25th (3rd in the Pac-10 for a 2nd straight season), while the Ducks who share the same record, and whom we beat finished 23rd.

2. First for the NBA since 1982. The Hawks and Heat will replay the final 51.9 seconds of a game due to a scoring error. The will resume the game March 8th, Hawks 114 and Heat 111. Josh Smith said about the issue, "That's crazy, man! I don't even think I can play because I fouled out...David Stern is the head honcho, so if he says we've got to play another 51 seconds that's what we've got to play. Bottom line."

3. Womens basketball, AZ at OSU. The Arizona Wildcats played at Oregon St. Jan. 3rd. The coach said due to illness and injury the team only dressed 6 players. The amazing part is Arizona led throughout all of regulation, finishing regulation with only 4 players on the court. After double over time, and Arizona not being able to score with only 2 girls on the court, the lady Beavs won the game. There is so many things wrong with this, I will not list any, and let you draw your own conclusions.

4. New city on my nerves. I have always had this unknown love for Boston. My mom and cousins always speak highly of it. But as of late, I must admit Boston is so good at everything it makes me sick. I will be surprised if they do not win the title in every major sport (Bo-Sox, Pats, and C's). I was born an underdog guy, and I have a feeling I will die and underdog guy. It will interesting to see if any of those 3 teams won without cheating in one way or another. From HGH to roids to Bela-barf to Spygate. Which leaves only Ainge's C's without anything on file.
To Marci and others with a Boston love, I am sorry, forgive me, but ahhhhh, FOF!

Lastly, how the youngest team in the NBA has quickly become one of the best. Did you know the Blazers are 2.5 games away from 1st place in the Western Conference. Basically what that means is they are back on top again! They are in 1st place in the NW division, led behind the all-star shafted Brandon Roy, averaging just under 20 pts. a game. They play team ball, they don't have a Kobe chuker, and they don't cry for the foul every play like D-Wade. So lastly I say on Wednesday, I will make the classic sports blunder, a guarantee. Blazers will win Wednesday in Boston at 7:30 EST. You better believe I will be watching that one online!

Ev - just have to comment you know...

Boston's been such an underdog city in sports in general for so long... You can't hate us for the Celtics finally doing something after decades, the Pats being awesome, and the BoSox finally winning their 2nd World Series after what... 80 something years.

Truly... an underdog city that's finally getting some well-deserved W's. Go Beantown. :)

I just wanted to add one more thing I just came across, Scottie Pippen is playing in Europe, preparing to come back to the NBA at age 42.
